Broad River originates in the Blue Ridge Mountains and is a major tributary of the Congaree River. Some of the features of this long paddling adventure include Sumtner National Forest, an old Irish cemetary, pristine natural landscapes, wildlife and flora. Trees that line the banks of the river include a variety of oak species, riverbirch and more. Fishing is also good, with a couple different bass species and catfish.
